Financial Support
One of the toughest tasks students face is paying for their education. That's why the Certificate in Ministerial Studies program has special financial assistance in place for qualified candidates.
Grants. A grant may be awarded, based on need. Likewise, the amount of the grant will be determined by the student's financial situation. Individuals desiring a grant may file an Application for a CIMS Grant with the School of Ministry by clicking here. Depending on the student's demonstrated need, a grant may include partial tuition, full tuition, or full tuition and required materials.
Proficiency credit. Credit for all CIMS courses is available by proficiency examination. Students may apply for proficiency credit on any CIMS course offered by the SOM. Cost of proficiency credit is $60 per credit hour payable at the time of application. The SOM will approve a review proctor and schedule a time for the examination. The examination for proficiency credit is the same examination taken by CIMS students. With a grade of 70 percent, students are eligible for proficiency credit.
Senior-Citizen Discount. A discount of 10 percent (tuition only) will be provided, when requested, for students registering in a course after their 55th birthday.
For more financial assistance information, please call 877-344-0488.

Admissions
The CIMS curriculum was designed as introductory studies for all ministerial roles, including pastors, evangelists, music ministers, youth pastors, directors of Christian education, church planters, and ministerial applicants. While CIMS was developed for ministers, lay persons are invited to enroll in any of the CIMS courses. Admission to CIMS does not require a high school diploma or a GED high school equivalency diploma.
