A disciple of Jesus Christ is a learner, a follower, and an imitator. Discipleship is about a journey of following Jesus personally and in an intimate way. It begins, continues, and ends with the person of Jesus Christ.

Discipleship involves mentoring between a teacher and a learner. A mentor is a wise, loyal advisor or coach. He helps the protégé learn something he would otherwise learn less well. Mentoring means sharing with someone or getting involved in someone else’s life. In its simplest form, mentoring is people helping people.

Equipping People for Ministry offers practical advice to both the mentor and the protégé. It follows the mentoring process step-by-step, giving guidance that makes the process easy to understand. Anyone involved in this type ministry will find helpful information and the inspiration to wholeheartedly embrace this vital form of ministry. Mentoring allows one to multiply himself many times over through others.
