Leading With Integrity
Pastoral Studies
Course Description
This course is a study of contemporary concepts of spiritual leadership with emphases on communication, decision making, conflict management, delegation, financial accountability, stewardship, and operational procedures.
Virtually any book of business guidelines will emphasize the importance of integrity in any worthwhile operation. Such books also stress that this characteristic is essential in the proper development of individuals as well. And nowhere do these books point out the need for integrity more than when they are talking about leader- ship. If there is one character trait that tops the list of virtues absolutely necessary to successful leadership, it is integrity.
Leading With Integrity covers such important areas as Christian, transformational, and team leadership. The contributors to this volume discuss the role of integrity in peacemaking, conflict resolution, and making a difference in one’s world. Furthermore, the chapters on five- star churches offer many thought-provoking ideas about presenting the local church in the best possible way. This book demonstrates that what the world of business has discovered about integrity, the church has known all along, and when the church has practiced what it has known, the results have been wonderful.
